FarSite Product Activation
Welcome to FarSite's product activation page.
Product: FarSync XOT Runtime for Linux
The FarSync XOT Runtime product requires activation, otherwise it can only be used for a limited time (15 days) after installation. We recommend activation soon after installation.
To activate the FarSync XOT Runtime product, you will require the Licence Number supplied with the product at the time the product was purchased.
- Run: fsactxot entering your Licence Number when prompted (or on the command line).
- Send an email to attaching the licensing object file produced in your current working directory as a result of running the product activation program
- FarSite will email a reply to you with the activation file as an attachment
- You should then copy the activation file to a convenient directory and set the current working directory to that containing the activation file
- Run: fsactxot
- The activation process is then complete

Product: FarSync XOT Runtime for Windows
The FarSync XOT Runtime product requires activation, otherwise it can only be used for a limited time (15 days) after installation. We recommend activation soon after installation.
To activate the FarSync XOT Runtime product, you will require the Licence Number supplied with the product at the time the product was purchased.
- If you have not already entered your Licence Number when installing the FarSync XOT for Windows software, run the Activate FarSync XOT For Windows program (which can be found on the Start menu in the FarSync XOT For Windows program group), entering your Licence Number when prompted.
- Send an email to attaching the licensing object file produced as a result of running the product activation program (the program will have instructed you where to find this file).
- FarSite will email a reply to you with the activation file as an attachment.
- You should then copy the activation file to a convenient folder.
- Open the activation file by double-clicking it from Windows Explorer; alternatively, run the activation program again from the Start menu and locate the activation file in the File->Open dialog if it is not located automatically
- Once the activation file has been opened, the activation process should then be complete (running the Activation Program once more should inform you that the product has already been activated)
